The first group are often the ones that you will have to write down . Think of these words as describing the noun.
leeg -> lee ( '' on e)
sag -> sagte
etc. learn these, they will help you this year and into the future.
REMEMBER that Trappe van Vergelyking ( comparing) are also Byvoeglike Naamwoorde.(describing)

So, how do you know when to add a describbing adjective or a comapring adjective?
Read the sentence carefully.
If there is an "as" after the adjective OR a "die" infront of it - it is probably a comparitive adjective.
Here, two or more things are being compared.
